Product Overview

The 3M™ Cool Flow Fan 1040 is an optional accessory for 3M 4000+ Series reusable half masks; it is not a respirator on its own. It draws exhaled air out of the mask to reduce heat and moisture build-up, giving a noticeable cooling effect without compromising protection.

A single button selects one of three airflow settings. The fan is rechargeable and is supplied with a USB charger with a UK plug. It is designed to run for at least 8 hours on a full charge and to last 1–2 years, depending on work patterns.

Limitations

  • Do not use in potentially explosive environments, atmospheres containing less than 19.5% oxygen, confined spaces (lack of ventilation), or where the contaminant concentration is above the protection limit defined in the 4000+ user instructions
  • Never modify or alter this product
  • Do not switch on the fan before you have put on the 4000+ respirator with the fan attached
