The 3M™ Particulate Filter 6038 gives P3 R protection against solid and liquid particles, and against hydrogen fluoride gas up to 30 ppm (or up to 10 x OEL). It also provides additional protection against nuisance-level organic vapours and acid gases below OEL.
The filter media is enclosed in a hard plastic case that protects against sparks and high heat, which suits harsh environments where easy decontamination and protection are needed. The surface area is 1.8 times larger than 3M 2000 Series particulate filters, which can increase service life in some applications.
The filter offers low breathing resistance and good balance on the mask, is designed to optimise the field of vision, and clicks into place on any half or full face 3M reusable mask with a bayonet-style connection.
