The basket stretcher provides a comfortable and compact way to evacuate a casualty from an enclosed space, or from areas where access may be restricted or difficult.
The basket is made from reinforced fibreglass, with steel pipe around the edge riveted into the lip of the fibreglass. This gives a strong, lightweight construction that is smooth and easy to handle. The lifting straps are made from 4 ton webbing and are secured to the steel pipe. The stretcher includes 3 securing straps.
