The RKI GX-6000 is a hand-held instrument that can monitor up to 6 gases at once. As well as the 4 standard confined space gases (combustibles, O2, CO and H2S), it has 2 additional smart channels that accept PID, IR or super toxic sensors. It has a strong internal sample pump, man-down alarm, panic alarm, LED flashlight and a large auto-rotating LCD display, and can operate as a single gas PID unit or as a multifunction tool using all 6 channels.
With a PID sensor, the GX-6000 comes with a library of over 600 VOC gases as standard. Selection is easy from a personalised favourites list of 30 commonly used VOCs and a list of the 8 most recently used. A benzene-specific version is available, using a pre-filter tube to detect low levels of benzene. Four PID sensors are available (10.0 eV, 10.6 eV low or high range, and 11.7 eV), and any two can be installed together. The PID sensors are resistant to humidity.
The GX-6000 is built for harsh environments, with a removable impact-resistant rubber boot and a dust and water resistant IP-67 enclosure. Five bright LEDs on three sides make alarms easy to see from many angles, backed by vibration and a loud audible alarm.
