Encapsulated Level B suit with expanded back and rear entry, giving the wearer and breathing apparatus protection from liquid splash, including overhead splash.

Key Features

Encapsulated design protects the wearer and respiratory equipment from liquid splash
Covers overhead liquid splash (does not provide vapour protection)
Taped seams: sewn seams covered with heat-sealed chemical-resistant strip
Standard 20 mil PVC faceshield
Rear entry keeps the closure away from frontal exposure and allows SCBA bottle changes without removing the garment
Expanded back to accommodate SCBA
Storm flap over the zipper, secured with hook and loop
Elastic wrists for a tighter fit
Integrated socks made of garment material
Attached flaps cover boot tops to reduce liquid intrusion
Made to specifications that do not contain natural rubber latex
Meets US requirements for blood (ASTM F1670) and viral penetration (ASTM F1671)

Product Overview

DuPont™ Tychem® 5000 Encapsulated Level B Suit: expanded back, rear entry, standard visor (1 layer: 20 mil PVC), elastic wrists, attached socks with outer boot flaps, double storm flap with hook and loop closure, one exhaust vent and taped seams. Tan.

Tychem 5000 fabric is a multi-layer film barrier laminated to a durable 2.0 oz/yd² polypropylene substrate. It is strong and durable for rigorous activities and rugged situations involving liquid splash, and provides a barrier to a broad range of chemicals.

Typical applications: chemical handling, petrochemical, hazardous materials and waste clean-up, fire departments, industrial hazmat teams, utilities and domestic preparedness.
