DuPont™ Tychem® 6000 SFR garments provide broad chemical protection and secondary flame resistance in a durable, lightweight garment for environments where chemical splash and flash fire hazards exist. They are designed to be worn over primary flame-resistant protective clothing and give industrial workers and hazmat responders permeation protection against a range of chemicals, while providing escape time from flash fires.
Tychem 6000 SFR fabric provides at least 30 minutes of protection against more than 250 chemical challenges, including chemical warfare agents, toxic industrial chemicals and flammable organic solvents. In a flash fire, the garment will not contribute to additional burn injury if appropriate primary flame-resistant PPE, such as DuPont™ Nomex®, is worn beneath.
The light tan coverall has a respirator-fit hood, elastic face opening, chin flap, double storm flap, elastic wrists, ankles and waist, a pin lock zipper and taped seams.
Applications include oil and gas, industrial chemical processing plants, laboratories, fire department hazmat teams, industrial fire brigades and clandestine lab investigation.
Full chemical permeation data is in the datasheet and in DuPont SafeSPEC.
